Redmond, WA, March 17th, 2014: iLink Systems, an ISO and CMMI certified Global software solution provider and Microsoft National Systems Integrator, today announced its team participation and recognition at the recently concluded Microsoft Windows 8 Camp held in Chennai on Feb 13th, 2013. App developed by iLink’s team was named as one of the top 5 Windows 8 apps at this event.
Microsoft has been organizing a series of “Windows 8 Camp“, an exclusive event organized especially for the developers’ community in India. The primary motive of these events is to help developers build a ‘Quality’ app for Windows 8 Store, which will offer compelling experience for consumers round the globe. Windows 8 Camp provides a unique opportunity for developers to learn the design/technical tenets in building a ‘Modern Style’ app and build & showcase ideas via apps to a global audience.
At this event, as part of hackathan – an on the spot app development exercise, iLink’s team developed a Windows 8 “Blood Helpers” app that would help people willing to donate blood and those in need of donor information. The app provides an option to search by blood groups, locations and more, and with the ability to request/post information. The app was named as one of the top 5 Windows 8 apps at the event and soon will be moved to Windows store.
