Introduction
About
PriceIQ is a pricing, promotion and simulation solution for Retail and FMCG companies. For Retail and FMCG category managers and revenue growth teams, making the right commercial decision is rarely just about setting the right price. They need to understand:
- What happens if we change our price?
- What happens if a competitor changes theirs?
- What if we run a promotion?
PriceIQ, built on Microsoft Fabric, enables teams to simulate these scenarios and optimize their decisions before execution. Users can evaluate the impact of different pricing and promotional strategies on key business metrics such as sales, revenue, profit, and market share.
Requirements
- Workspace must have Microsoft Fabric capacity enabled.
- The PriceIQ workload must be enabled for the workspace in the tenant.
- The user creating a PriceIQ item must have permission to create a Microsoft Fabric SQL Database.
- The Microsoft Fabric Admin setting Users are allowed to create workload items must be enabled for users who need to create PriceIQ workload items. Item creation may fail if this setting is disabled. Contact the Microsoft Fabric Administrator if you experience issues creating a PriceIQ item.
- Users who access an existing PriceIQ item do not need permission to create workload items, provided they have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
- All users accessing PriceIQ must have Microsoft Fabric SQL Read and write access, including the ability to delete data on the Microsoft Fabric SQL database in the workspace.
Limitations
- Setting up a Project only supports manual template download and upload at this stage.
